Each of us have personal and professional experience with broken health systems having lived and worked through them.
We also work with a range of external qualified consultants on a project by project basis.

Dr. Afua Boatemaa Owusu
Dr Afua Boatemaa Owusu is a medical doctor with 6 years experience working in the Ghanaian health system with the last three years working as a medical officer at the Department of Anaesthesia at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Accra. She is a firm believer in the ability of good management to transform systems and to that end, pursued a masters in Public Health with an emphasis on Health Services Management at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
She also holds a BSc in Medical Sciences and MBChB in Medicine and Surgery both from the University of Ghana Medical School as well as a Diploma in Anaesthesia from the West Africa College of Surgeons.
Dr. Owusu also serves as a director of Lamèsè Ghana and leads our Healthcare Management efforts.

Mrs. Aseye A. Kporngor
Aseye Kporngor is a health lawyer with specialties in healthcare compliance, medical malpractice, and food and drug regulation. She is passionate about building robust compliance systems to enable healthcare providers and payers function efficiently and reduce exposure to liability. She obtained her LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2011 after obtaining her QCL from the Ghana School of Law. She has extensive experience in civil litigation and criminal defence. She has an LLM in Health law and Policy from the University of Houston Law Centre.
Mrs. Kporngor is a director of Lamèsè Ghana and head of Healthcare Facility Compliance.

Ms. Justina Agula
Justina Agula is a result oriented public health practitioner, researcher, quality improvement advisor and a project management professional with over twelve years progressive work experience in both local and international projects in health care systems in Africa. Her professional history includes roles such as field worker, Research Officer, Research Assistant, Quality Improvement Project Officer, Project Manager, Regional Quality Improvement Specialist and currently managing a multinational research project in sickle cell disease. During these years of work, she successfully provided direction in the management of quality health service delivery and also provided leadership and played supervisory roles in the execution of public health interventions.Additionally, she has extensive work experience in mentoring and coaching teams in the application of quality improvement methods and tools, facilitation, team management, data collection, data management and analysis and building and managing stakeholder relationships.
Ms. Agula is a director of Lamèsè Ghana and our Health Quality Improvement and Research Lead.

Mrs. Elsie E. Hayford
Elsie Hayford is a Global Health Lawyer and Legal Consultant with varied experience in the health sector – specifically working in areas of policy and legislative drafting and analysis, business development and project coordination/management. She is passionate about expending her legal skills to strengthen health systems and bridge the health equity gap in developing countries. To this end, she has undertaken diverse projects across Africa, the UK and the US to ensure adherence to the law, the implementation of sound health policies and the building of robust health systems. She is also an Assistant Lecturer at The Accra College of Medicine and teaches Medical and Public Health Law as part of the Ethics and Professionalism module. Elsie holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Liverpool, an Executive Certificate in NGO Management from the Africa Centre for Capacity Building and a Master of Laws with distinction in Global Health Law from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, USA.
Mrs. Hayford is is a director of Lamèsè Ghana and sole director of Lamèsè Ltd UK. She leads our Public Health Law and Policy work.
